A North Carolina woman's good feeling about a lottery ticket finally came true after she landed a massive win from a scratch-off ticket.

"Every time I get a scratch-off I think, 'This is the one,'" said Jennifer Conyers, of Rocky Mount.

Fortunately for Conyers, the $25 Spectacular Riches ticket she recently purchased at the 301 Market on South McDaniel Street in Enfield really was the one this time, according to a release from the NC Education Lottery. The lucky lotto ticket ended up earning the Nash County woman the game's final $1 million top prize, "a blessing" that she and her family had trouble believing was a reality.

"I was in shock," she told lottery officials, adding that she called her son to let him in on the exciting news. "He said, 'Are you serious.'"

Conyers claimed her prize at lottery headquarters on Friday (September 13), choosing to receiving her win as either an annuity of $50,000 over the course of 20 years or as a one time, lump sum payment of $600,000. She ultimately chose the latter and took home a total of $429,007 after all required state and federal tax withholdings.

According to lottery officials, Conyers plans to use her new winnings to pay off her mortgage and buy her son a car.
