YFN Lucci is back with new music ahead of his first concert since he was released from prison.

On Friday, May 23, the Atlanta rapper dropped his new single "Jan. 31st (My Truth)” via Think It’s A Game Records. On the track produced by Gabe Lucas and Kai, Lucci reminisces about his time behind bars and vents about the issues he endured during the most trying period of his life.

“This new single is just me — raw and in the moment, making music the only way I know how; straight from how I feel,” YFN Lucci said in a statement about the record.

“The hook is a headline of my truth, down to the artwork. It says it all," he continued. "We did a fly family shoot when I came home and those photos are visuals of my heartbeats. It had to be the artwork. It represents my love for my kids and how much I missed them. When you see me stepping back into the spotlight, you're seeing what matters most standing right beside me. The business is locked in, the vault is ready to open and I’m beyond ready to get back in motion and let the people hear me. The comeback is just the beginning.”

YFN Lucci dropped his new single nearly four months after he came home from prison. The Atlanta rapper spent four years behind bars after he was accused of murder along with other alleged gang members following a 2020 drive-by shooting. He turned himself in to the police in 2021 and pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang and Terrorism Prevention Act in 2024. He was released on parole in January.

The "Everyday We Lit" rapper will perform his new song plus more hits at his upcoming concert. AG Touring just announced the plans for "YFN Lucci & Friends Welcome Home Concert" on August 23 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Presale tickets for Lucci's first show in four years go on sale on Thursday, August 29 at 10 a.m.
